In Pittsburgh, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Pennsylvania on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 AM–9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 588-0094. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is ironbornpizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Awesome Detroit style pizza! The dough was airy and delicious, sauce was great and there was a perfect crust on the edges. We also had the Caesar salad and chips with the caramelized onion dip. These were both delicious.

Despite the apparent lack of staffing during prime lunch hour our server was super friendly and attentive. Food was awesome. My daughter has celiac disease and is gluten free and said it was the best gluten free pizza she’s ever had. We also highly recommend the homemade chips and onion dip. Overall very pleased with our food and service. Definitely recommend.

We had a great experience at Iron Born Pizza & Pasta in the Strip District! We tried the Cheese Pizza, the Forager Pie, and the Chicken Pesto Pie, and every single one was delicious. The crust was amazingβ€”light, airy, and perfectly puffed with a great texture. The portion sizes were generous, so we definitely left full. On top of the great food, the staff and the chefs were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious Detroit-style pizza with great service, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

One of the best deep-dish pizzas in the Strip District! I love the Forager Pieβ€”the combination of flavors is amazing, especially with the drizzle of honey and ricotta on top. I also tried the Cheese Pie and the Veggie Pie, but the Forager Pie is still my favorite. The garlic pull-apart bread is great as well.

I came to this pizza place after hearing about it online. I ordered online for pick up and everything went great. The girl working at the time was very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was delicious. The only downfall is the price and size of the pizza. The pizzas are rather small and range from $15-$20. They have a good variety of pizza which I hear all of them are delicious. I'll be back for sure but would order here more if the prices or size of the pizzas were different.
